Large teams, rigid hierarchies and long approval processes? We believe the agency of the future looks different. What it takes are experienced minds, clear responsibilities and the right expertise. With Daniel Richau joining as partner and managing director for creative, we are expanding our leadership team and staying true to our approach: maximum expertise instead of big agency structures.
Three perspectives, one shared responsibility
With almost 30 years of experience in Hamburg’s advertising and media industry, Daniel Richau brings extensive creative expertise. As creative director and head of creative, he has worked at agencies including Elephant Seven, pilot and Digital Masters. At pilot, he already worked closely with Axel Bellieno and Daniel Kunkel. Now the three are reunited at True Effect.
Axel Bellieno is responsible for media, Daniel Kunkel for operations and Daniel Richau for creative. Three disciplines, one shared leadership. Because media efficiency and creative impact belong together. The best media buy achieves little if the message doesn’t resonate. And even the strongest creative idea needs the right environment to have its full effect.
The agency of the future doesn’t need a big machine
Traditional large agencies often rely on extensive team structures and numerous layers of approval. That costs time and money. At the same time, existing teams have to be kept busy, even when a project doesn’t require all of the skills on hand.
Our approach is different: we rely on a small, experienced leadership team that takes on strategic responsibility and brings together the right specialists from our network for each project.
It’s not the size of the team that determines success, but the quality of the expertise. This way, we avoid unnecessary structures, shorten decision-making paths and stay flexible.
Leadership means taking responsibility
For us, good agency leadership means one thing above all: consistently making decisions in our clients’ best interests. Our course is set not by commissions or margins, but by advertising impact and commercial success.
With Daniel Richau, we unite media, operations and creative under shared leadership. Our clients work directly with the three managing directors and benefit from a high level of seniority, short communication channels and a network tailored to their needs.
That’s why Daniel Richau joining us is more than just a new addition to the team. Because we are convinced: the agency of the future doesn’t necessarily need bigger teams or more complex structures. It needs experienced people who take responsibility, combine expertise in meaningful ways and consistently act in their clients’ best interests.
